Evaluate your hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) with the Q-Pad™ as a convenient, needle-free alternative to traditional blood testing, using menstrual blood.
- Nearly 80% of individuals with prediabetes are undiagnosed, as symptoms may not be present.
- Increased blood sugar levels can negatively impact fertility, mood swings, energy levels, and skin health, even in non-diabetic individuals.
- For those with diabetes, monitoring your blood sugar control over the prior 90 days becomes easier. Understanding your A1c levels before your next doctor's visit can help reduce uncertainty.
Qvin™ in Brief
Our journey began in 2014, collaborating with a team at Stanford University Hospital to explore the potential of menstrual blood. What we unearthed was truly remarkable: Menstrual blood holds a myriad of health markers, transforming it from waste to a valuable tool for health monitoring.
In essence: Your body conducts a natural blood test monthly without the need for needles or medical appointments. Quite astonishing, isn't it?
The Q-Pad: Engineered for menstrual blood collection and analysis
We've developed a special menstrual pad that gathers and preserves menstrual blood for medical evaluation. While it resembles a regular pad in appearance and feel, it contains an embedded paper strip. Following pad usage, you detach the Q-Strip, place it in a secure container, and dispatch it to our laboratory for examination.
Getting Started with the Q-Pad
Connect your Q-Pad to your secure profile via the app. Receive your blood test outcomes and personalized health guidance from us. Prompt notification will be provided if any irregularities are detected, along with actionable steps or further testing recommendations when necessary. All results undergo review by a certified physician who will reach out if any urgent matters arise.
Not a Diagnostic Tool
Qvin facilitates access to laboratory testing for wellness tracking, informational purposes, and education. Our tests are not designed for disease diagnosis or treatment. They do not serve as a substitute for seeking professional medical advice, assistance, diagnosis, or treatment.
Health App Integration:
You can transfer your Apple Health data to Qvin. Visit the Account tab and select "Import" to begin the setup process.
Qvin provides visibility into various data from the Health app (HealthKit):
- Menstrual flow
- Intermenstrual bleeding
- Cervical mucus quality
- Ovulation test results
- Basal body temperature
- Sexual activity
- Weight
